To Moderation, Gaians, and whomever else it may concern. Recently I was accused of making art from existing art by means of copying poses or paintovers. I have not copied anything directly, by means of taking a base. But I have used art as reference material. And it was a stupid mistake not to list my references and inspirations. We're human. We make mistakes.

I do a lot of research and looking at different poses as an artist but never have copied from another artist’s work intentionally. I may have been inspired or liked a particular pose only to have it influence something of mine. For this I solely admit I’m sorry and never thought I had referenced anything too heavily but I may have, and strongly appears that I did. However I have complete proof that I did not modify anything nor did I directly copy another artist’s work.

I have been doing Art for years. I have many art works that can not be in similar comparative instances with anything. That should be proof enough that I do my own art work but I will provide further proof by showing you the works in progress.

This should be proof I didn’t modify anything. I once again state that if I referenced anything too heavily I strongly apologize. As an artist I respect other’s art work and wouldn’t want someone to steal my ideas, so it bothers me to think I may have referenced something so close to another persons.

Even though I have stated proof I did these commissions fairly. And have told you I did not copy them, I intend to pull them from my DA and my Shop as a sample of my artwork. Not because I am guilty of copying but I don’t want it to be a problem for Gaia, myself, nor do I want to have any art similar to someone else’s displayed. I too am a believer of having your own style and will take every measure possible to ensure I check and make sure my art is not like anyone else’s.

And that is all I can tell you about the matter. I would like to ask about my shop, and will I have another problem making an art shop seeing as these examples will not be used anymore. Along with making sure my art is not like anyone else’s before I release it.

I know chances are everyone will hate me after this. No matter what is proven, and no matter how many WIP's I throw everyones way. But I'm willing to face whatever I did wrong.
